Stormwater Tender is encouraging private land owners
to increase the amount of stormwater captured or
treated on their land, an important part of keeping
stormwater in the catchment
It does
this by paying households and businesses to install
rainwater tanks and raingardens (and other
infiltration systems).
These
payments are made in recognition of the
environmental benefits (healthier creeks) of
reducing urban stormwater runoff.
Round 1
of Stormwater Tender was successfully run in 2007/08

Preparations are under way for the next round to be
rolled out in late 2009. |
